Are You Fed Up with the Delivery?

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.   Psalm 37: 3
Have you been holding on to something so tightly, and not being willing to let go?  Sometimes our unwillingness to let go stems from a lack of trust--full, wholehearted, trust in Him.  Lack of faith blinds our eyes.  II Corinthians 5:7 says, "for we walk by faith and not by sight."   It seems that having a lack of faith actually blinds our spiritual eyes from seeing the truth in God's Word:  His unfailing promise to never leave us, to provide for us, to shelter us, to lead us, to protect us, to strengthen us, to uplift us, to comfort us--you name it, anything we could ever ask for or need, He's promised to meet that need by His All-Sufficiency.   In our unwillingness to trust Him, we "think" we are walking by "sight," but we're really walking blindly.
The only thing we see is our circumstances.  But we fail to realize that our circumstances are just the "wrapping paper" enclosing a hidden blessing from our Lord.  Looking at our circumstances from that perspective should stir us to run TO our circumstances instead of running from them.  Embrace the storm, and go for the blessing that is within--in the midst you'll find Him there!
Everything comes with permission from our Father, Who has promised to work them out for our good and His glory (if we desire to serve Him) (Rom. 8:28)  And it's all coming to us as a gift from Him.  He purposely wraps them in "not so desirable" paper to test our faith...do we really trust that THIS is coming from our Lord, with a hidden gift and purpose for our growth in mind??
Instead of getting "fed up" with these "special" deliveries, we should trust in the Lord, and do good--because He promised we will dwell in the land of promise and surely be FED.  :o)
Trust Him.  I'm in the learning process too.  In this land of promise where I'm dwelling, He is surely feeding me.  I'd much rather be "fed by Him" and growthan simply "fed up" with life's circumstances and blindly miss the gift He sent to me In this "letting go, yet embracing the hidden gift" process, He gave me a special arrangement of "Only Trust Him."  To take a listen, just click here..Only Trust Him  (it should load automatically.)
If you're hungry for more out of life, embrace this life and its being wrapped in "brown-paper-bag" circumstances, and be fed by our Lord.
Dear Father, Please help us..help me...as You're teaching me to let go of "life as I know it," help me embrace the hidden gift of blessing You're sending my way.  But I will go so far as to ask for You to help me share this gift with as many people as You see fit.  Please let these lessons, sometimes difficult as they may be, be given for not just my benefit, but for others' benefit as well, and most of all for Your glory.  One more thing, Father, it would we very wise for us to remember that the greatest Gift You have sent to us is Your Son, and the salvation He offers to us was wrapped up in the most unattractive paper imaginable---the grief and pain of a brutal death on the cross.  To receive this requires us to embrace Your gift of salvation by faith, and "only trust You!"  Thank You, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, for being Our Greatest Gift!   In Jesus' Name, I humbly pray, Amen.

  1. Dear Tammi, Thank you for writing this-I feel it is straight from the heart of the Father for me today. Being retired has been a challenge financially and I've been battling with the concept of trying to get a part time job-but this was His Word for me today.
You spoke truth to my heart and I'm heeding it.
    Blessings and hugs, Noreen

  2. Hi Noreen, I just wanted to tell you that I too am having to seek a totally new way of life. . and it's scary. I've been a stay-at-home mom for 12 years, and a blessing and honor it has been. But with the economy, and the strain from it, I'm having to adjust big-time. God seems to be opening the door for me to go back to college and finish. . .but oh how scary that is for me 'specially at my age. I'm most comfortable here as a wife, mom, home school teacher, pianist, and of course, new blogger. :) So I the uncertainty is where this blog was "born from." These lessons of letting go, and trusting are not easy. I'm right there with you. Sending you a big hug! From me to you :)

  3. How are you doing Girlfriend.... We ordered your CD and Pray that you get even more orders. Also that GOD being on your side,,will direct you in the way you need to go on HIS path in this returning to college and the job thing. My hubb's and I did even older than you are now because his job here had went to Mexico about 4 yrs ago, we had to. And see now, we have our own greeting card company. It may be small and we go through some rough times here and there ,, BUT God is GREAT and we will survive on HIM.. It is hard sometimes to trust in HIM , Kent reminds me often to give it all to the LORD and leave it there,,,it is hard.. Like yesterday at our meeting for the other store account...
We still have not heard back after they told us we would,,its frustrating for sure.. But its getting better.. Because this morning I did finally give it to HIM. We even lost one of our stores in the proceses of delivering to some on our origina;l acc. as the mgr. didn't feel they did good in his store...That was hard to hear too and he didn't want to try placing our display in a different isle... So MONDAY was a tad sad,but Tuesday is better. I do pray for you to feel more asnd more confident in all the changes you are going through too Sweetie...
We will play your CD while we work in our office
...It will be great, because you created it with Gods Spirit..And in blog land for Jesus,, I feel it is our uncertainty that spurs us on to HIM and to share HIM with others,,,just like YOU are doing ~~~ So You Go Girl!!!
    THANKS for being YOU..
    Blessings Hugs Dena

  4. Oh Tammi, I think we are in the same season of our lives. When I 'feel' like my circumstances aren't changing and I don't understand, I tend to get depressed and dislike that wrapping. However, I want to focus my eyes on Jesus and trust Him throughout all times; good and bad.

Your music is so beautiful and comforting to me. I listen to it all day long and now I am enjoying this song too. Lovely ...please keep up your music and of course, your blogging.

  5. Tammi,
This post was written for me! There are many wonderful things happening in my life right now, but one NOT so pretty thing looming and lurking in the bushes...I know GOD will use it for HIS good. Thank you for reminding me of the hidden beauty that lies within the deep, dark, place I am gazing...right now from a distance!
    Blessings and prayers,

  6. My precious sister-friend you already know from our correspondence off blogging that I am praying for and with you.

I can see your heart in the LORD in your message. More importantly HE sees...

I love you and I appreciate your sharing which we can all relate to in some way.

  7. Sis, this blog today has touched home to a lot of us. Not knowing what the road ahead has for us is just like you described...not so pretty wrapping paper. But, just knowing that God himself has delivered it to our door. He knows we can handle it. Reminded of the verse Ps 32:8 that says"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye". Underneath the ugly wrapping paper we know that whatever is inside our God is right there with us. I love your writings Sis. They are helping so many dear folks. Thank you for being the wonderful daughter, wife, mom and friend to all of us. Love you to the moon and back and then some...Mom

  8. Tammi,,AWESOME post as usual,,,do pop by mine and check out the new photos I posted and let me know what you see too.
    Blessings and Hugs Dena
And I keep you in my prayers and Lisa too, everynight along with many others :0)~~Always

  9. PS:::I wanted to add that the season I am in is one where I could be so down I wouldn't want to move,,,BUT Praise HIM that He hasn't let me fall that far at all. Not like a few years ago..I'm clinging on to HIM so much better now..
Love your way of sharing the Holy Spirit with us!!!

  10. Your arrangement of this hymn is beautiful...I could listen to it over and over and not tire of it...

When I first read your post title...I though...uh-huh...I am so tired of UPS and FedEx messing up our deliveries...but it really is just the change in plans that irritates me when things go awry...

SO then I read your post and am convicted of having the same feelings when my life plans aren't delivered in the way I imagine they should be...just jumping to conclusions without trusting in my Father God...forgive me, Lord!

  11. What a beautiful post Tammi! I love your prayer!

Praising Him for your heart desiring to trust in Him no matter what!

    Praying for you now :-)

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment! It's such a joy to my heart! "Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father above..." You are a gift to my heart! To God be the glory! :o)
