Prayer Request and Update

Just a note to say a great big thank you to everyone for their loving and encouraging support!  I did begin classes, and it's been challenging to this old brain of mine, to say the least. . . hardly have any time to do anything except read, read and study some more...and this is only the beginning.

However...there's been a big bump in the road this evening and cause for a prayer request SOS.  Bryan fell this evening.  His foot is swollen!   I believe he has torn a tendon or something, because along the back side of his foot it is swollen---goose egg knot immediately came up as soon as he fell.... Is that the Achilles?  Anyway, he is our only source of income, and this was the reason for me to go back to school, to hopefully get a better job...Now...with this, and the possibility of him being out of work---Ooooo, he doesn't even want to consider that "option" (of missing work).  Please pray for him.  And for us.  I have to say that I'm feeling more and more like the disciples---when Jesus "compelled" them to get into the boat.  "Where are You, Jesus?  The storm's raging!  It's getting darker!"  But yet, I need to re-read the last blog....Could it be He is up on the mountain top praying on our behalf?  Our two children are concerned...new school, now this uncertainty.  Heart is just so heavy this evening.

So...this is a short, SOS blog post...also to say thank you for your support and prayers, and to let you know that we're out here, on the waves....the winds are howling, and I can hardly see my "spiritual hand in front of my spiritual face.

I shall keep you posted, time permitting. . .but I have a feeling it's going to be a looongg night.

Master, the tempest is raging!

Love and hugs to each of you!
God bless!
Until next time,

  1. I will pray for your family. I've been through times such as this, and can testify...God will always make a way! He makes rivers in the desert. He will make a way...

  2. Praying for you and your family. I am certain that God will not let you down. You can get out of that boat and walk on the water. He will hold you up, just as He held up St. Peter.

  3. Tammi, I am praying. Maybe Bryan should have the doctor take a look at his foot. In the meantime, elevate it and ice it to reduce the swelling. I tore a ligament in my ankle a number of years ago. They x-rayed it and I was in a walking boot for some time. But I was still able to go to work and walk around the hospital making rounds as I was mobile. I hope something like this works for Bryan.

Take one moment at a time Tammi. Trust the Lord with each circumstance that comes your way. Just like the enemy to cause havoc.

    I'm praying.

    Love you,
    Debbie

  4. Sis, praying for you today. I know God will see you all through. He has never left us or forsaken us and is not about too now. Just another valley that will make the mountain top more beautiful. He will calm the storm in His time. Remember the song "In His time." Love you so very much, Mom

Sorry I haven't stopped by in awhile. I've gone back to work pretty much full time, and my kids have started back to school. Crazy days.

Sorry to hear about Bryan... praying for quick healing and swelling to go down!

Praying too for you to have incredible wisdom and grace as you head back to class.
